Amazing Greens (1X1C41)
Amazing green moss covering the rocks exposed at low tide during a colourful sunset at Burns Beach, Perth, Western Australia.
I call it moss, but it is perhaps seaweed. In any case its colour is an amazing lime green, almost florescent when sun lit. A long exposure to provide movement within the water and capture the colourful sunset, so typical of the West Australian coastline combines well with the amazing green moss (or is it seaweed?) at low tide on Burns Beach near Perth within Western Australia.
Hence the title “Amazing Greens”.
Burns Beach is located along the northern coastline of the city of Perth, Western Australia. Whilst parts of the beach are sandy, there is also a lot of limestone rock structure along its shoreline, making for interesting vistas, especially at sunset. The northern end is a preferred location, especially when the winter storms have washed a lot of the sand from the reef and the green moss grows quickly on the reef platforms and rocks along the shoreline, often exposed at low tide.
