Meelup (1X3C2380) – Limited Edition
Vertical panoramic view of Meelup Beach, Dunsborough, South West, Western Australia.
This image plays by the rule book, by adopting the rule of thirds. Bottom third is clear water over sand, middle third is the colourful rocky shallows and the final third (3 thirds = one whole if I counted right) is the sky. Additionally the use of leading lines are plenty, starting with the sand and water ripples leading to the rocks, which in turn lead into the centre of the frame and clear shallows beyond.
This is one of my favourites and goes well on a narrow wall. Especially one you walk towards. Kind of gives you the impression your walking into the scene. I know this because I gave a large canvas version to my parents as a present.
Titled “Meelup” which reflects the location. Couldn’t get more simple than that could I? I also couldn’t use “Near Meelup” as I already had. So whilst this says Meelup, its actually just around the corner, but don’t tell anyone…
Meelup Beach is located in the South West of Western Australia, between Dunsborough and Eagle Bay. An idyllic beach setting with white sands, colourful rocks and crystal clear water. The coastline is normally calm with clear water and white sandy beaches, separated by orange coloured rocky outcrops and points. Protected by Cape Naturaliste from the relentless large ocean swells, it is in stark contrast to the other side of the cape, world famous for its large and powerful surf breaks.
Note: This image is a limited edition and as such the number of prints will be limited to 100. For more information click here.
